M5R2 in a 66

Just wondering if anybody has ever put a m5r2 transmission from a Thunderbird super coupe in their classic mustang behind a 289 or 302. It has an internal hydraulic slave and I believe it will sit the stick back farther than the T5 will.
These are some measurements I have found by searching the net
34 3/4 - overall length
30 1/2 - block to shifter
22 - 1/8 - block to tail shaft
Any opinions on how it will fit?

big mistake. It's an obsolete japanese mazda trans. Parts aren't made for it any longer and have to come straight from japan. Last time I checked a few years ago, syncro's alone cost hundreds.

t5 ftw. If it's good, you shouldn't have any problems offloading it to a tbird guy
