I installed the MAC fenderwell CAI kit last night on my wifes 02 GT, good directions only took about 30 minutes. The hardest part was mounting the filter to the intake. My question is that on the upper pipe, the one that connects to the throttle body there is an extra hole on the bottom of the pipe. The directions don't say anything about it, I currently have it plugged and everything seems to be running fine. Does anyone know what that hole is for?

And before I get slammed for wasting the money, I don't expect anything from this CAI than a little under the hood Bling for the carshows we go to.

If the hole is about a quarter of the way up, and on the underside of the pipe it is for the air temperature sensor. There should be alittle rubber grommet that goes in the pipe followed by the sensor. If this is not the case, then it must be a hole for a nitrous fitting.

02's don't have an air temp. sensor. The CAI should have come with a plastic plug to close the hole. Mine did.

OK, the hole had a grommet, but no plastic plug in the kit. I'll call MAC and see if they'll send one.
