I just installed a MAC cold air induction on a 94 gt and there is a stem that has nothing over it. It is located on the rightside tubing of the cold air induction. It's the first stem on it coming from the throttle body and it is pointing toward the alternator. Does any tubing go over it, do i plug it or is it suppose to be open? I tried to attach some pics but it didnt work. If you cannot understand my descripition tell me and i can try to post some pics again.

I think tha's the one that is supposed to have a tube that runs from the oil fill tube on the VC to the CAI kit.

The tubing should come off of your stock intake, I have a 95 cobra and it may be a little different. This should definately help you out some. http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/coldairmac.htm
copy and paste it and look at the pics, I think this is what you need.

I posted two pics of it. I could not find any tubing in the old intake or near it that would fit on to the stem. http://www.picturetrail.com/mustang94mod

the U-shaped rubber tube coming out of your oil fill neck is supposed to slide onto that. If you look at the pic you can see that in stock form it goes from your oil fill neck to the intake tube. It is just an oil breather.

That helps i see where it is running from but on my stock one that valve or tube was closed off with a rubber capsel and no tubing was running from it. The people i bought my car from re-built the top end of the motor and added numerous performance parts so maybe there was some reason for blocking it off. Can i just close it off as well by putting a rubber capsel over it.

Yep you can but know that is used as a breather (from factory). You can install a push-in breather where the oil fill top (where you pour the oil in) to help any by crank case pressure (blow-bye). If the crank case pressure has no where to go it will find a place to go most commonly the dip stick tube will start to be pushed out until it comes out. Hope this makes sense.

yea that makes sense. I have roush racing valve covers and there is a push-in breather cap on top. So i guess that will allow me to close tube to the inlet pipe cai. thanks for the help
