I too am considering a Mac catback in place of my Dynomax..Does it sound hollow? What midpipe do you have with it? Any sound clips?
So you're really happy with it? How loud is it compared to the Dynomax?
This is exciting

Yeah, the pure muscle sound of the Mac or Flowmaster cat back is super sexy, but the deafning and annoying highway drone you have to accept along with it was more that I could bare. Needless to say, I went with a set of strait through mufflers (magnaflows) the second time around.

I love Mac exhuast. On my 96 I had 3" O/R Prochamber and 3" Pro-Dumps. It was the sickest sound ever. Too bad I was too stupid to realize what kind of power I was loosing with that set-up. It sounded cool and that was all I cared about then.

1) yes it sounds hollow, its a very unique sound. It sounds similar to flow's but its got a unique growl too it, its almost raspy in a sense but its a really good raspy while at the same time haviing that hollow flowmaster sound
2) I have a Mac offroad h, the same midpipe i had with the dynomax
3) yea im really happy with it, exactly what i was looking for
4) Id say its atleast twice as loud compared to the dynomax:SNSign:

Thanks.
Thats every thing I wanted to hear. I'll be getting a UPR o/r x in a week or two to see how it sounds with my Dynomax bullets, then I will more than likely get the Mac catback

If you're not satisfied with your Dynomax bullets, don't bother getting the entire Mac Catback because you're under the impression it's going to sound dramatically different. Just buy the Flowpath Mufflers and weld them into your system. Unless the pipe diameter is of a different size, you're not going to notice a difference in sound by swapping out the entire cat-back over just the mufflers.

Yes, but I've cut and welded in several different mufflers, several times, and I'm running out of pipe to cut
Plus I want the 3" tips..
