Right now I have a Mac H-pipe no cats and Flows and I was looking for something to help compliment the sound of my 87 GT.....heard the Prochamber sounds nasty with a car with an aftermarket cam....true? or will it actually quiet it down?

thanks

They quiet the car down a lot. I had long tubes, prochamber, and MAC catback on an 01 GT. IT was quiet. When I put that motor and transmission on my notch, I put stock manifolds, BBK H-pipe and the same MAC cat-back. IT is WAAAY louder, especially inside the car.

And yes, with a cam, it will still sound siick as can be, but it will be quieter.

hmm ok cool...how about this combo...the no-cat h-pipe thats already on there but chop out the 2 chamber flows and throw in some 1 chamber ones (dumped like it is now)

Ive seen the mustangexhaust website but it would be cool if you could go to a website, select a midpipe/muffler...cats/no-cats combo, and hear a sample lol

might even already be one I guess thats what youtube/streetfire is for lol

I've had both, H and P/C, with 2 different cams and let me say that I'd rather have the H pipe. It's lighter and flows better. My car felt 'lighter' with the h-pipe.

Believe it or not, ass, yes the car the felt lighter and revved quicker. I believe that the prochamber creates more exhaust flow resistance and makes things more complicated for the engine.

1 Chamber flows are very very loud. My friend has them on his 90 GT with the 392 Windsor and it's sick.

Well, I shared my experience, but the sound the pro-chamber gives is really nice, but too quiet for my taste.

Well right now I have a Mac H and flows dumped I just didnt really want to quiet the car down. Would switching from dumped Flows to Mac Prodump make it quieter at idle?

I loved my old ProChamber. Gives it a real unique sound. I've got an O/R H right now, and its just not the same.

My 408 has 1 3/4 long tubes in to 3" pro chamber and 3" dumps. You can hear it in the youtube video in my sig further up the page.
