I just got my MAC white face gauges. everything went smooth with the install i marked where the pegs go on paper, and took them of and then reinstalled the pegs and every thing else except the plastic bezel. when i gave the car power the needle on the speedo read 17 mph with the car not running and the tach was at like 400rpm with out the car running. the gas gauege was wrong and the oil guage was pegged and i think the only thing right, was the battery but i can't even be sure about that. what the heck i can i do to fix this? please help. I am so mad at my self.

What you should have done was run the car up to normal temps and wrote down where the needles were then take it apart, pop the needles off and put the white faces on. then start the car back up and let it come back to normal temps and put the gas, battery, oil pressure, tach and water temp needles back on. As far as the speedo goes.....you would have to go out on a quiet road and also know before you start this mod where your speedo needle is when you are at like 2000 rpm in 3rd gear and make note where the speedo needle is. it takes 2 people to do this but while the passenger does the steering repeat 2000 rpm in 3rd, set the cruise control and place the speedo needle on....this is the only way i know how to do it. hope this helps...peace out

There is a diagnostic mode you can use to get digital RPM and MPH.

Put your key to start mode, then hold down then odometer reset button for a few seconds and start the car. It should go into the diagnostic mode, then just hit the odometer reset buton to switch beteen readouts.

Your still going to have to stick the needle int he right place.. find a nice long stretch of hghweay and set the cruise on 55mph, put the needle in then change to the digital display to the tach then put that needle in too

Problem is i have a 98 so the odometer is not digital. And also i got pretty much all the gauges right like the tach i took the needle back on then turned the car to the run position and put the needle back on and it worked fine as far a the gas i got it on right and the battery, but the temp guage doesn;t move at all now and te oil pressure gauge is rite but it is wierd when i turn the off it does not go back down it only goes down when you turn the car to run again and then when you start it, it works again right and shows normal pressure. Any more suggestions please i am so mad they are not right its so irritating? thanks
