What did you use to install yours? Self tapping screws, plastic body pins, or double sidded tape. I've been told that you can do any of the above, what do you think?

I wouldn't do double sided tape... between the wind and the occaisional curb, it will fall off.

I have plastic body pins and they work great. I have even brushed the spoiler with the curb once or twice and it didn't pull out any pins... it came with quite a few, probably 10 or so... I just did them all. I definately recommend a friend to help install it, I was ready to hurt someone doing it by myself.

I used a combnations of ush pins and nylon nut/screws. I plowed over a deer carcas at 60 mph and the chin spoiler didn't even budge.

Push pins here to. They came with the spoiler when I ordered it. I used duct tape to hold it in place where I wanted and then drilled the holes. Worked out pretty good.

If you don't mind me asking, but where did you guys get the chin spoiler at and how much?

I never cared much about it before, but lately I have been seeing a Mach 1 locally a and the chin spoiler looks preety good. It looks like a nice mod if it is cheap enough.

Agree, did mine the same and added some self-guiding screws as well for extra support ... got it from Mustang Tuning, GREAT pricing

I put mine on flush with the front and there is about a 1/2 inch gap between the ends and the wheel wells. Should I have flushed it with the wheel wells first? I got it at Mustang Tuning. How is it on the Mach 1?

Thanks
-Rick

I got mine off of ebay, and it can with the plastic pins, also I flushed mine with the wheel wells, it sits back under the nose a bit but I like it that way.

I dont think that they intended the chin spoiler to act as a functional cattle gaurd

Does that "gap" in front of the wheel-well only happen with the aftermarket spoilers? Does it also happen with a genuine Ford spoiler as well? If it only occures with the aftermarket product, then I would be inclined to buy a genuine part from Ford (even if it cost more).

Just Curious...

I don't have any pics of mine set back. Stangscuba98a, I have mine on a 2k GT and I still had the gap, thats why mine is moved back. I'm not sure if the ford part is any different or not.
