IF you decide to jack it up....I'd worry about that actually causing some damage depending on where you jack it up. I'd make sure the owner is cool with you jacking it up and realizes that there might be some damage done...well if it's rusted that bad the damage is done...but you get my point. The last thing you need is him flipping out that you put a hole through his floor.

Your concern about the jack going right through the floor of the car is a valid one, as one responder even felt it could be a good test . I spoke to the owner about jacking up the car and he was fine with it. The car seems solid outside of the battery tray deteriating away. I could be wrong. I will post pics.
