mach 460..common issue?????

i have a 2004 GT with the mach 460 sound sytem. when i just turn the key to accessories, i hear this loud kind of staticy sound and sometimes its really loud different kind of sound. when i crank the car my exhaust kind of drowns it out. this is really noticeable when the volume is down but if you turn it up just a little bit at a time its still there but drowns it out unless you really try to listen for it. it annoys the piss out of me and i want to take it back under warranty if i can. i asked the ford dealership about it before and they said that all of them do it but thats b.s because my brothers got an 02 with the mach and it doesnt do it. i just want your facts and opinions please...

I have an 04 GT and my Mach 460 does not do that at all. As a matter of fact i am pricing out a new system for the car. I don't know why but for some reason i can never get the 460 to sound right whether its the radio or the cd playing. To me music sounds like butt from those speakers

I have ALOT of alternator noise comming out of my speakers. Most of the time this is due to a bad ground either on the radio or in the car. Took mine back with a loud shrill and yet again the dealership failed to fix. So time for an aftermarket!
