how does the mach 460 grill attach? I know the mirror bezel uses a special clamp that i already have a bunch of that i ordered from ford

If you dont have the Mach, I would NOT buy a replacement cover for double the price that says MACH on it.

A Mach 460 Grill will not fit without the rest of the Mach 460 speaker assembly. The Mach 460 Grill have a couple of raised edges that "clip into" some grooves on the speaker that is mounted to the door. It is best to just get the standard mirror bezel panels.

I put the Mach 460 tweeters in my 94, and it wasnt that hard.

I bought the whole shebang, housing, tweeters, and plastic mounts. My door panel already had the holes drilled for the mounts, and all I had to do was wire up the tweeters and trim some plastic off the door so it the cover didnt hit the dash. I doubt you could just mount the covers on the stock part, becayse they mount completely different.

my old mustang didnt have the mach 460 and i took the black mirror covers and when i put in my system, just cut holes in them, and mounted my tweeters on them, it looked good, and saved me some cash.

I also threw them in, took some customiseation to get them in. My doors wernt set up for them, I had to chop off part of the plastic housing of the tweeter pod to get them to fit right. I have my focal tweeters behind them, wanted my stereo to look stock. Mabye the proper way is to attach with clips or special bracket but the guy I bought them off of might not of given me them if thats the case.

Just do what I did, it sounds great. But mine came stock with the 460 and my speakers have an off axis response crossover setting which you would want.
