Mach 460 questions

I picked up alot of the componets for my Mach 460 today and I have a few questions.

1. The system is from a 99 GT, these still have the front amps under the CD player right?

2. My car has an amp under the storage bin where the CD player would go...is this the same amp that the Mach 460 uses?

Don't know if the 99 Mach 460 is the same as the 94-98, though it should be similar. The amp under the storage bin is NOT the same, the Mach 460 has an additional connector. Basically, here's how the Mach 460 modifies the Premium Sound system:

The existing speaker wiring now plugs into the tweeters in the Mach 460. There's an extra wiring harness that plugs into the Mach 460 amp, that runs down the driver's side and plugs into the rear speaker tray.

There should be an extra speaker plug taped up inside each door, farther back on the wire for the existing speakers. If this wire is not there, you do NOT had the Premium Sound System, and you'll have to add some of your own wiring to get it to work.

No problem. I can probably help if you have problems, I upgraded my GT's Premium Sound to the Mach 460 myself.

I also found the web site of the people that provided the Mach 460 to Ford:

They say that the system will work for any 1994-2004 Mustang.
