Turned out ok. Car does not hook at all. Best 60ft was a 1.85 and best et was a 12.87 @111mph. She definitely has more in her. Not 11's but 12.3's for sure. Density altitude was 5400ft so I can't expect miracles. First and second go so damn fast, tough shifting gears when the tires are letting go so bad. Otherwise she ran not bad. Stalls out at the top end though when you let off the gas going throught the traps.

Dart 408
TFS R CNC Race Heads
Small cam
8.85:1 compression (set up for boost next year)
Box R Intake
Stock T5 tranny (Transbrake C6 is in the garage waiting for a convertor)
65mm throttle body (major restriction)
Stock suspension ( major restriction)
255 Nittos in the rear at 14#'s (major restriction)
Clutch was slipping during the burnouts bad. Could not do 3rd gear burnouts at all.

Blew a tire tire today on my first pass. Right rear. Came off the bead somewhere on the pass. Did not feel it affect the car too bad but came back to the pits and she was down.

Ya I can't wait to get the C6 in there. I love 5 speed cars for racing but this thing just blows the tires away all the time. The auto should settle it down a little. My crappy suspension doesn't help either. Now that I've got the power I have to build the rest of the car around it.

All in the set up. Our low 10 second stick shift car hooks well... The stick would be more fun, but if the C6 is what you need it should work well!

Should be a beast when you get that boost going! I'm running a C6 on my 408w setup also, just blew it up too... I just bought an ATI trans brake for mine, which brake do you have on yours?

I don't know to be honest with you. It's sitting out in my garage. A friend of mine owns a race shop and builds these trannys. He's running one in his car and it runs 7.9's all day long. That's who I got to build mine. I just see the wire hanging out of the tranny case waiting to be hooked up. I still have the tranny in the protective plastc.

Here's just some shots of the car now that it's home. I still like the vinyl job though. Just can't get the hood to fit. CIA is too big because of the throttle body. I don't want to butcher the hood until I get the new T-body on it. Had to race without it. Kinda looked a little hillbillyish but had to see what she would do and break her in.

Compression isn't going to affect a full second in the 1/4 mile. He's down maybe 20hp with the 8:1 compression. He's got a mismatched combo with junk suspension. Surprised it didn't go into a wall.

Get that thing setup right before you go wrecking your car. Since I did full drag suspension, and poly this and solid that, it is a completely different car and way easier to control. Not even a hint of it's former self, sounds like this was just for giggles anways. Once you get that stall and auto in there your times should drop considerably.

What are you running with your 408 combo?

Compression is a factor but not as much as elevation. We usually are running at about 5400ft. I was by no means running her full out, power shifting trying to squeeze every tenth out of her. Just a few leisurely break in runs. Clutch was slipping real bad. I'll get the setup I want and then go for it. Right now just testing her out having some fun.

I feel your pain I too have the low compression blues. The 347 was set up for boost with 8:1 dishes and a blower camshaft so its a slouch down low. I still managed a 12.2 @116 with a 2.0 60 foot. How much convertor and gear are you running?
