Made up my mind-- Kind of

7-9k? What combo will it be? Im planning my 351w swap and it will be nothing close to those kind of numbers. For those numbers you BETTER be running a bullet proof DSS block or the like, Victor Jr. Heads or TFS-R heads, Bullet proof tranny, etc. Spending that much better make a REALLY FAST bullet proof setup that runs 9's or maybe 10's easily.

Yeah it was for a DSS Pro Bullit, or a Local shops in house motor, I was told they'd be solid 11 second combos. Half the price was swap parts and electronics. Yellow 5.0 Cobra or something on here just did his 408 and he spent about 7500 as well. To be really done over well it's not cheap. Not to say you can't do a really mild one for cheaper.

Dustin, There's a shop a few buildings down from ours called American Midsize Truck and hondas, give them a try I'm sure they'll have a 351 truck block. Also there's LKQ a couple bulidings down from us as well.

Alright thanks. I will start looking. I still have to find out how much the fox project is going to cost. I really want to make it my DD so I can do the 351 swap easier.

Hey if you can send me some pics of you 89 if you have any and if you can find the sites that would be great. Just PM them to me. I really excited about this project. What did you do to your 2.3? What kind of power can I expect with the money?

the motor ended up blowin up before i had money to do it and then i saw my car and said screw it i got the other one running and they freakin gave me 2500 for it that was suprising but i think with carefully chosen minimal mods you can get like 230-250 to the wheels and the car is lighter due to no v-8 i wll get lookin for those sites bro

Agreed, when you stroke 'em, the price really jumps up high. I was just talking about a budget rebuild really with a stock block, TFS heads and intake and the supporting equipment to run along with it.
