MAF Conv Wiring Question

Ok, I searched the threads and didn't find what I was looking for. Help!!

I've been throwing new parts at this until there's nothing to change! I got an A/F Meter so I could tweet my fuel ratio. Found out it's going up and down like a yoyo... I installed a new fuel pressure regulator, O2 sensors, MAP sensor, TPS sensor (even tried messing with the setting of this one, didn't help), swapped out the MAF and even the Computer!!! No Change! Even driving down the road at a steady RPM it goes up to like 3/4 volt and back down to Zero... YoYo...

Since my car had the MAF conversion I decided to double check the wiring. So I went to google and pulled instructions off the net telling to switch this pin here, that pin there and splice into this and that wire. Ok, so I head out to the car and pull the computer. WTF is this? No wires have been spliced and instead there is this other pin connector in between the harness and the computer where the MAF wires "plug" into. I did NOT see this anywhere online, nor could I find it anywhere online...

The part number is a Motorsport "E8ZM-12A582-B32". It looks self contained to where you shouldn't have to touch any wires, but where did it come from?? Is it supposed to go on a Mustang, and if so then why isn't it referred to in any of the Conversion Kit's or other links?????

I am totally confused by this... Should I pull it out and do the conversion as per online, OR should I leave it there? If so then what about my bouncing A/F ratio???

Sorry if I missed it, but what is wrong with your car exactly? are you merely worried about the a/f guage? These guages are pretty useless from what I have read here, unless you have a wide band O2 sensor installed for it. I have no personal experience with them.

Oh and call ford with that part # and ask them what it is. They should have no problem telling you.

Well, I guess what worries me most is that the majority of the time I'm at idle my A/F guage doesn't even show anything, for maybe about a minute sometimes, then it'll shoot up to about 3/4 volt again and back down to nothing... I double checked the guage with a voltmeter and it's reading correct, my voltage really is jumping up and down. Reading up on O2 sensors it seems they are supposed to vary a bit, but this is nuts... I don't want to run too lean and burn up my motor.

Try pulling your codes, that will tell you if there is a prob with your O2's. Look at the the "rough idle" thread, I just posted instructions there if you dont know how to do it. I will venture a guess, there is nothing really wrong with your car. You are worried about a guage that doesnt tell you squat.

My air fuel gauge has always "yo-yo'd" between rich and lean under normal driving conditions. I believe that's normal. At least, I can tell you that there is nothing wrong with my GT. The air-fuel gauge is really only helpful for wide open throttle, where you want to see that it's pegged on rich.

in just crusing around u will a get a rich lean reading from one extreme to another thats just how a regular o2 sensor reads on a cheap gague ( yes the basic autometer is a cheap a/f gague)

Don't know if it helps, but at idle I surge a couple of hundred RPM's and the guage follows along with the surge - rich on the rise and lean on the down side.

The A/F gauges that use the O2 sensor signal will jump all over the place. The reason is that the O2 sensors "switch" between .2 volt lean and .6 volt rich with a curve that looks like the drop off a high cliff. The curve is almost straight up and down, so the voltage shoots from .2 to .6 and back down again 2 or more times a second at cruse.
