MAF conversion Went Wrong Please HELP!!!!
I completed the convertion according to stangnets tutorial. I startered my car and i had accidently forgot to switch the thermactor pump pins in the eec connector. Once i reliezed this i turned the car off and switced the pins. Now everything is set up perfect. I routed the wires to the fuel pump relay and speed sensor relay. I also disconnected the map sensor and capped off the line going to teh motor. Now when i start my car ity has a really rough idle and if i dont give it gas the car dies. Once it begins to idle it jumps up and down between 550 and 1000 rpms. I am currently using a stock MAF meter the i rigged up to the SD air intake hose. The part of the hose that is hooked up to the MAF meter and the TB is alittle loose around the meter. I tried to get it as tight as i could but its just temperary till i get a cold air kit. I also tried disconnecting the MAF meter and the car accually seemed to run alittle better for a minute. Would a bad mass air meter cause sound a rough idle and rough shaking of the engine? Could i have fryed the computer when i didnt switch the thermactor pump pins? Anything else that could help me? I pulled codes and got 84 and 95 i know what teh codes mean but what can i do to eliminate them? Please help me!!!!
