I've been running pig rich for a while now and I think i found the prob. I tested my MAF according to my haynes manual which says...
"At idle, MAF should read between .02v and 1.5v and should raise to 2.0v at 60mph."

So i tested it at idle and it holds a steady .01v...raise it to about 4000 rpms and it barely moves up to .019v. Is the MAF my problem?

thanks guys.
Patrick

It might not be the maf because the motor has to be under load to draw enough air through to really measure, so you would have to probe the maf and have wires long enough to bring the voltmeter inside the car and read it while you were driving, or buy an obd-II scanner that gives live data readings from the sensors which is about $300 bucks. Only then will you get an accurate reading off of the maf.

update - I replaced the MAF with one from work (Autozone). It seemed to lean it out a bit and the idle is smoother. Feels a little choked when decellerating...i'll look into it some more on my next day off... but thanks carl.
