maf ????'s

My cold air kit said to remove it, and it had a cork gasket to put there.
I thought that was the first thing everyone did when they took the air silencer off. I ditched my screen a long time ago. I figure it would help smooth the flow out because there would be less restriction. I don't know of anyone doing dyno tests to show if a screen causes a loss in cfm or power.

anything elses?

Do you have any other free horsepwer ideas?

please don't take the screen out. it is there so your ecu can make the right decisions on how much fuel tp put in. it evens out the air passing over the sensors in the maf so it can get a better reading. no horse power is going to be gained by taking this out. and once you start tuning you will really wish you had left it on that way you can get accurate readings!!!

This is one of those things where half take it out, and half leave it in. No problems tuning mine w/o the screen. I didn't notice any smoothness, or lack of, when I took mine out.

My 00 idled carry unitil I reinstalled the screen. Some have a problem, some don't . It does not increase hp or decrease hp. I have a CAI. the 90 deg bend right before the MAF can couse inaccurate readings. the screen smooths out the air.
