ok i have a 95 Mustang GT auto, i have a very noticeable hesitation when at WOT, when im driving regular it is pretty much normal but when i get on it, it will sit there and hesitate for as long as i hold it down then when i let up and then put it back down slightly it will go, i have already replaced the following: fuel filter, had fuel pump checked, had cats checked, put a whole new throttle body on it because the mechanic that i brought it to said that at idle the tps was reading 1.3 and at WOT it read 1.3, so i put new throttle body on with tps sensor, now i find out thats not the problem either. the car has did this ever since i bought it , it is making hate my 94 mustang bad, i know its not that expensive but i need help PLEASE!!!!!!! oh yeah and its not my tranny already had that checked

Dude, thats the same problem that I've been trying to diagnose for about a week now on my '95 GT as well. The only addition to what you stated is that my stang wants to hesitate when first starting off from say a red light or such making me 'baby' the gas pedal until the engine catchs up with what I want it to do..

:bang: I've already tried to clean the MAF sensor with Q-tips and such and was looking towards those other things you tried, so I guess I'll wait and check back here to what others say as well.

im having a very similar problem as well with my 95 gt. sometimes it dosent do it others it does...and my check engine light comes on and gos off....well today i had my codes checked and pulled a 181 and 189...lean condition at partial throttle in the 1 and 2 bank. ive been told both o2s dont go together so it may be maf or vacuum leak?

EXACTLY my check engine light goes on and off too? im not good with motors or anything so if u figure it out you should post back please, did u by any chance take out your screen on your maf because i did maybe thats whats wrong with it but i thiink it was happening before that i cant remember for sure tho? post back

my car is stock also i think we are having the same problem but yours is a manual so thats why your having a hard time getting off the line? but yea get back to me when u find out what it is thanks

Mine's an automatic. I pulled the codes off the unit and got:
code 172 - ox sensor lean, right side.
code 628 - Excessive converter clutch slippage.

Probabily I've got a bad ox sensor, but what is the clutch thing ??? :damnit: :fuss:
