ok, sorry here it goes again
i have a 73 MM MAF ...i dont know if it is bad, i am starting to get some misfire on and off, etc my question is since there not cheap for another 73 MM MAF can i like get a stock size one off of ebay , or somewere and take out just the senor out of the tube , like you do when you change the little tube for setting you injector size and re use my 73mm tube and transpant the stock senser into my tube ? will that work are the actual sensors the same.

i did look at the top of mine and it has a ford sensor in the top of it even though it is another brand MAF tube and its 73mm

If it is a C&L/Vortech MAF which are the same unit it uses the stock Ford electronics and the tube controls the adjusted readings.

3.8 Taurus' (forget the years) had the same sensor so you could just find one at a junkyard and pull it off... cheaper than buying one off ebay
