Hey guys..
I can get a good deal on a 90mm Granatelli MAF but the problem is that it is calibrated for 24# injectors. Since i'm running a supercharger right now on the stop setup and would like to upgrade it all I would prefer better injectors. Was wondering if I could get the 90mm for 24# and then with my diablosport chip program it for say 30 or 36# later on?? thanks

Not a big fan of Granatelli stuff. I would just get a Lightning meter and 42lbers, especially since you're supercharged. That way you'll have room to grow with the 42s.

The word "programmed" is where I see a bit of problem here

"Calibrate" is the more accurate word to use here

That is ... for after market meters
but
It is absolutely N O T to be used with OEM meters

ProM calibrates electronically
and
C&L does it mechanically

Not wanting to single out anything negative you did or said

Its just that you see lots of folk think OEM meters/injectors
and PCM's are some how or the other ... Calibrated.

That whole thing came from the Fox era and was devised by
the after market manufactures.

While it worked ... so so for the Fox folk

Its not nearly as effective for our Stangs
due to our load based PCM's

Now ... before we see some say ... Its working OK for me

There is a difference between
Working OK
and
Working with optimum conditions

Now that I think about it

IIRC ... Don said the Granatelli was made by Hitachi and he
said it was quite accurate.

Seems to me ... Accurate or Not

If its caled for 24's ... the blower is gonna ... "blow"
right on by that 24# cal

or in other words ...

It will be too small as it will be pegged by the blower's airflow

i thought 24's seemed low for a blower application too

i have a c&l intake coming its the full kit meter and all...i know i have to switch the internals over but i will see how it works i got it mainly for the elbow since it has a casting for the nitrous....if the meter seems to fail or not work good i will switch it out

Ok i think you're right.. I'll leave that deal and just wait for a MAF calibrated for a bigger injector. Thanks
