Maganflow first impressions

Hey guys i just finished putting my maganflow catback on. I also got a K&N filter in there and just took out the air silencer. The car sounds mean as hell throughout the entire rev range. idle is still quiet put give it any gas and it growls i love it! just wanted to share my thoughts and excitment...

Glad to hear you like it as well. I've had mine on for about 6k miles and it sounds wicked. I added a Borla O/R H-Pipe about a month ago, and it really sounds mmean now.

Congrats on your solid purchase of magnaflow. I have had mine on for around 5k and it is always a pleasure to start it up. Now all i need is a prochamber and add just a hint of nasty to the sound.

i like it too. i've had it on almost 2 years now. the sound is a little louder and more burbly than when i first got it. i have no regrets whatsoever.

I agree they sound better the longer you have them. I have an o/r X-pipe and love the sound. Also, I have had no trouble with the tips coming lose and have had it for 10 months.

I've got the Magnaflow Magnapacks and I love them. I can't seem to find a catted "H" pipe for my car so I guess I'm going to have to settle for a catted "X" pipe. I'm sure I'll still be happy.

Borla made one for a very short time but stopped for some reason. i think it was because it wasn't making any extra hp.

Let me clarify: It is a Borla mid-pipe. It looks more like a MAC prochamber.(Big box in place of the connecting tube) I picked it up from a friend who bought it along with the Saleen Borla exhaust. He bought an 2005 Saleen, so I got it still in the box for cheap! Not sure where he bought it.

yea x-pipe will come as soon as i get money lol. i'm not sure what brand to go with though. does anyone have opinions about the magnaflow catted x?

Yes. Get it and don't look back. It's a great X-pipe IMHO. Perfect fit and great performance (see sig for exhaust combo). I'd go with the same midpipe and catback if I had to do it all over again.
