Hey all, I've got the magnaflow catback already installed and want to put on the magnaflow catted x pipe as well, however, i drive my car for work 50+ miles daily. Do you think it would be too loud for a daily work driven car?

Not even close.
Mine has no drone whatsoever.
You will still have 4 cats.

4 cats? The Magnaflow catted x only has 2 cats

Mine isn't loud enough for me - the only reason I don't have O/R is because I need to stay legal

I have the Catted-X with the MagnaPacks. Yeah, they're louder that what I was used to, and there's drone, but you learn to adjust your driving habits to avoid it. No complaints for me, and I'm definitely turning some heads with the sound!

You have two cats after the manifold, and two cats on the x pipe.
Atleast mine does, but Saleen may have done that for Cali emmisions.

The catted X is only a little louder than the stock H, mostly it changes the pitch of of the exhuast note.

Think it must be a Saleen thing - I had 4 cats on my stock h-pipe, and 2 on the Magnaflow x

my stock H does not look like that.... I have 2 cats on each pipe.

By the way, Let me know how loud with magnaflow catted X. I have BBK O/R X pipe, and simply too loud and been thinking about getting something bit less noisier...

I have the Magnaflow Catted X mated with the Catback system on my '02 'vert. Gears 1-4 are somewhat loud, but when you switch to 5th, it is very quiet... unless you stand on it, then it comes back to life!

It is a very nice-but-not-too-loud mod.
Hope this helps!

No, that combo will NOT be too loud for a daily driver. I have the catted X & matching catback as well, it's "just right" IMHO.

Thanks guys. I got a chance to hear my cousins 03 cobra with complete magnaflow system and to me it sounded just right... Not quite as loud as i thought it would be, but still awesome sounding. I didnt know if there would be huge difference between loudness and sound between his 4v and my 2v and between his hard body and my vert...

I have the magnapack catback and the magnaflow catted x on my 99GT. Perfect sound and head turner. Best choice of exhaust if your getting a catted midpipe and a catback IMO. I'm getting collectors plates soon so that means its time for long tube headers, and a shorty offroad x for more power. Basically the car is going to be loud as hell and non emissions legal, but with those collectors plates there isn't a damn thing that the law can do about it. Chalk up another victory.
