Magnaflow catted x too loud for daily driver?

That price you see on partshopper is what magnaflow requires them to list them at. If you talk to the right people, you can get them for the price that you saw before the increase. Not sure who these people are, but I read this in another forum.

It does have a bit of drone, but my from my understanding, It is one of the quietest of all the exhaust combos out there!

Hey Chief, before you make up your mind about the Magnaflow catted X, I suggest you listen to a MRT catted H-pipe with a Magnaflow cb. I think it sounds great, really classic musclecar sound. Packs and Magnaflow Catted X are the win. They're loud when you need or want them to be.

MRT uses the exact same cats that magnaflow (they are made by magnaflow) uses on their X pipe. How do I know, I asked the magnaflow rep. I was going to buy them, they were 399, but now they are 450. I wonder why the sudden price jump. Now I have to wait.
