I heard that too. I assume it to be true. I think whoever posted that said they got it from a magnaflow salesperson. I could be wrong about that though.

tooo louds prolly
Last Friday I went to a performance shop. The shop owner drove my car down the street, flooring it. There was a SN95 Cobra at the shop with LTs, o/r, and Mac cat back. When the Cobra drove off, he floored it down the same street. My car is equally as loud with Magnaflow catted X and Packs. He said he Cobra runs 12.6 on radials easy with 4.30's, built engine (from the shop next door) and some other stuff. Not blown or n2o'd yet.

I didn't know my car was that loud, I haven't had anyone drive it so I could hear it.

I e-mailed Magnaflow directly and asked them to confirm this rumor and also, if true, why discontinue? Here is the response I got:

"Poor sales is the main contributing factor for the discontinuation of
the Magnapack line."

U wouldn't know it by the number of people who have them on Stangnet. I'm glad I got mine when I did.

Yeah, but there should be enough of them having already been made that a muffler shop could get a hold of for the next month.

Funny story, at the muffler shop the other day, as I was getting my 3.5 chrom tips welded in a guy drives up with a sick black on black 03 cobra and American Thunder catback...he was so desperate to have the Magnapacks welded in that day that when the shop told him they only had one available, he grabbed the phone book and started calling every shop within 50 miles...when I told him they had been discontinued, he was like , but then the shop told him they'd have it for him on Monday and he nearly came himself...he said they were louder than my Spintech ProStreets on his friends 03 cobra with the exact same setup as him...oh yeah and he was pushing his boost to get 490 at the crank .

I'm glad I got my Packs when I did too. The MagnaFlows we're much louder than the stock exhaust on my Mach.

Sad to hear they're being discontinued. I was starting to think my car was too quiet with the 'packs, but I saw it on a video and it sounds pretty good.

I talked with Magnaflow and you can get the 4 inch rounds as a replacement to the magnapacks and get the same LOUD results.

I had the packs and I hated them. The car had the same tone from idle to 6 grand just louder. Those things droned more than my flowmasters and sounded like ass. This of course is my opinion.

That sucks. I love mine. I even have an extra pair that I'll be saving now just in case I need them.

save them and sell them to some desperate fool who wants "the" magnapacks LOL. I wonder if discontinued used cat-backs have a good re-sale market

I am a territory sales manager for Magnaflow. This post is not true. We offer a glasspack style muffler called a magnapack. That muffler is discontinued. The Magnapack Mustang kit will never be discontinued... We already have it done for the 05 stang. Sorry for the confusion

So the full catback with Magnapack mufflers is still available? Just the stand alone mufflers aren't?
