I just got magnaflow tips welded on.. it cost 30 bucks, because they had to bend an extra little piece of pipe for the drivers side. But yeah.. 30 bucks to never have to think about it again seems a good deal to me.

So welding them would be the best idea, I'll check around for it, thanks for the info.

Just put loctite on the little set screws that hold them on.

I put some jb weld on the entire length of the rod with a syringe so to not make a mess and it works great.

Ok, I'll try loctite before the welding, I did tight them as hard as I could the last time and it was still loose today but the rod was a little further than it should have been the last time I tight it.
With the loctite if I put that on the bolt, do I need to remove the bolt completely ?

Guys,Guys,Guys. Save 50 or 30 Dollars. $6 for a tube of industrial stength of JB weld. Less money and time compared to a muffler shop.

I've tightened mine as much as I could--almost breaking the supplied allen wrench. Haven't had any issues since and it's been almost 2 years.

I used loctite on mine and am glad i did, after i installed my x pipe, one of my tips stuck out like 2 inches farther, i dont know if it was a bad fitting pipe or what but it pushed the whole side of the catback out the back of the car and if i had them welded my tips would be ruined because they would have had to cut them and re weld. I used loctite and just had to break the allen screw loose and adjust and re loctite.

Good point. Mine needed adjusting when I got the mid pipe too. It'd suck if you welded them!

I was warned about this when i put mine on but its been on for about 8 months and no problems. mine is for the IRS so it might be a little different but i doubt the tips are different.
