I've got an '01 Bullitt with Hooker L/T Headers,Mac Catted H-Pipe and Magnaflow Catback Exhaust.
I enjoyed the racey sound at first, but i've come to the conclusion it's a little to loud for my taste.
The Mufflers are the smaller "glasspack" loking Stainless Magnaflows.
I also have 4.10 gears,RPMs are at about 2800@75mph freeway cruise.
Does anyone make a similar sized muffler that would give me more of a growl than a balls out roar?
My '03 Harley F150 has Dyantech L/Ts Hi-flow cats and a Bassani catback, and I really like the sound of it.It's about 50/50 exhaust growl/Supercharger Scream!

Dynomax Super Turbos would pry be the sound level you want, but you won't make as much power. The Race Bullets are friggin LOUD.

You may want to consider installing some Bassani baffles to quiet the thing down a bit. Just do a search on "bassani baffles". There have been bunches of threads on 'em. Great product.

a lot of people look, but don't have an answer - therefore no post.

IMO you need to get a chambered muffler w/ an H pipe. See my sig video. Does your car sound like mine ? My car is not too loud at all (in fact it perfect to me), but you also have packs, and I have 373's. You may have trouble finding something that will work w/ the magnapack catback other than similar mufflers b/c of the design of how the pipes go in and out of the packs. I'm sure a custom shop can make anything work though. If I were you I'd get an X pipe, and regular magnaflow mufflers, but maybe you just want to weld in some Delta flowmasters are those the 3 chamber ones ? Or what ever the quietest Flowmaster muffler is to go w/ your H pipe.

I was thinking about getting Magnaflow magnapacks over my Flowmaster. Not sure now, i DOUBT it the packs could be too loud for me but maybe im wrong. Are magnaflow cat-backs (not magnapacks) louder than flowmaster? I have flowmaster, you might want to get them, if the magnaflows are too loud My car has an nice growl to it. With my 4.10s the rpm's at WOT make a nice aggressive tone But nothing deafening like it sounds the magnapacks are giving you...

at idle, no. but at higher RPMs, i think my Magnaflows are louder than my dad's Flowmasters on his 5.0L.

Stay away from the Magnaflows. I have a cat back kit behind a 331 drone makes long trips a pain. I have a X pipe & full tail pipes.
The mags sound great but the drone suck. I will never buy them again NEVER!
I call them ( Magnafarts) to ask about drone (before I bought them) they told me none or very little BS they lied. I had a h-pipe and stock engine no cats I hate it I spent $475 on this crap exhaust.

i put 2 3.5" silencers on my magnaflow catback. you could try ebay for the ricer silencers. i had to get them locally thru a ricer parts dealer.
i have longtubes with an offroad x pipe and the standard magnaflow catback.

i dunno how u guys get the magnaflows to drone like crazy. mine are quiet "compared" to flowmasters. not as quiet as stock of course.

change you mufflers to the regular magnaflow, they are a lot more quiet, flowmaster would sound great but the quality is not as good. If you got the cash maybe bassani would be a nice choice.

The Magnaflows make just as much power as the Magnapacks-

I have them on my built 66 with a supercharged fuel injected 5.0 and off road X pipe-

I have very little drone and after 3000RPM the thing just screams- by far best sounding exhaust I ever had

I've got the regular Magnaflow catback with stock manifolds and midpipe. It's almost too quiet for me, but I don't really want to change out the mids and manifolds anytime soon. I might be interested in trading if they're a direct swap. I don't know what the Magnapacks look like...

BTW, I've only had mine on for a couple of months...

I have the Bullets on my car and they're not really that loud. It wakes up when you stomp on it though. Hopefully next week I'll be swapping in a Bassani catted X though. I'm sure that'll change the sound a bit.

I agree. The regular Maganflows will be much quieter than the Magnapacks. Pearl02.
