Stay away from the Magnaflows. I have a cat back kit behind a 331 drone makes long trips a pain. I have a X pipe & full tail pipes.
The mags sound great but the drone suck. I will never buy them again NEVER!
I call them ( Magnafarts) to ask about drone (before I bought them) they told me none or very little BS they lied. I had a h-pipe and stock engine no cats I hate it I spent $475 on this crap exhaust.

The bottom line is that your going to get some drone with any after market system. It just depends on how much of the drone you can live with. I have a Gibson catback on my Mazda B4000 pickup. It's a great system but it also has drone. Pearl02.

I have mac lt's , mac catted h and magnaflow catback, not too loud, at wot very very good sound, I do not have drone (with vert), I was even thinking of going louder but I think you made me change my mind.get regular mags, good price great product, you might even see if they can ship the rolled edge tips if you like that look

Go with a Magnaflow standard Stainless mufflers, and if that's still to loud switch from a catted H-pipe to a catted X-pipe.

If that still does not work, ship everything to me and I guarantee you that you won't be able to hear it from where you are

Good luck

The regular Magnaflow catback is quiet at idle but on my cobra it screams from 3000 to WOT. Im waiting to put on my O/R X pipe, it should be loud as hell then

just about all aftermarket catbacks will drone. i have had 2 chamber flowmasters/or x pipe and it droned alot worse than my bbk lt/mac catted h pipe/magnaflow catback i have now. imo, the magnalfows drone less than the flowmasters fwiw.

if you are unhappy with your setup, you can always find someone else to buy it from you and then try something else.

Ive got a Magnaflow Catted x and regular magnaflow weld on mufflers and It sounds good but not real loud, maybe try that, seems to be a popular choice anyway... to me magnaflow seems to be on the high side though, I paid $400 for my x pipe ($50 and free shipping from partshopper) and $200 for the mufflers installed from a local shop, try that and see what you think

my .02 is just switch to a stait through turbo style muffler.

borla
magnaflow
bassani
dynomax ultaflow

I would stay away from chambered becasue they are usually drone worse, and have less flow.

you current muffler is 4x4x14 with 20" overall lenght if you keep this catback.

maganflow 14316 has the same dimentions but has a 9" oval body

borla 40980 is 3/4 of an inch shorter with 7 3/4 oval body

borla pro xs 40364 same dimentions with a 9 1/2 oval body.

dynomax 17293 (stailess ultra flow) has the same body lenght but overall lenght is a couple inches shorter.

all of the muffler I have posted up there with the exeption of the borla pro xs I have heard and I think they sound good. just listen to some clips on mustangexhaust and take your pick.
