I just wanted all of your opinions on this. Would the combination of magnapack cat-back with the magnflow cat x-pipes be good for both performance and sound? If not what would be the best combo for performance and still have a good sound? And what would the approximate price be because i can get the above combo for roughly $800.

They are made to go together, nice performance boost and the sound is awesome, IMHO.

Listen to the sound clips at www.mustangexhaust.com and see how you like the sound.

The combo sounds great - I don't like the sound of the 'Packs with the stock H nearly as much. Performance boost is good too, but I felt most of it when I changed the midpipe out.

Take those with a grain of salt, however - I found nearly all of the Magnapack sound clips to be distorted. They sound MUCH better in person.

I have packs on my Mach, I do want a catted X.. How much louder will the catted X be? Right now I wouldn't want my Mach to be much louder, if any, than it is now.

The sound isn't that much louder. I equate the catback for sound and the midpipe for power. It'll definitly smooth the revs out a bit though and give a more exotic type sound, while maintaining some of the sound characteristics of the H-pipe unlike other Xpipes which can get really raspy.

So the overall volume doesn't increase? Good, because right now it's pretty damn loud especially when cruising 70-80 on the highway.

I'm not saying the volume won't increase at all, it will to a degree but not as much as you would think, but definitly sounds really pissed at WOT. I live right near a police station, there are cops everywhere and they don't bother me at all. If you got an O/R pipe on the otherhand it would seriously be a lot louder.

I felt nothing from cat back. From the catted X, it was a nice gain

If it sounds anything like the bassani catted x and magnapacks, it sounds very good.

Spreadman has some video clips on his website that are probably the best example you will get w/ out hearing that combo in person.
I hope he doesn't mind me suggesting his sound files.

Click on the link in my sig for my clips. Personally I like it, and noticed that the car pulled more up top.

Good fit and finish as well.

Thank you all for your replies. I listened to the clips on mustangexhaust.com and as mentioned b4 they really did sound distorted. However, from the replies i got it sounds like that is the way im going to go.
