magnapacks!!!

so i got the nerve and ordered a set of Magnapacks. I would have ordered the enitre catback but i just got new 4 inch tips not to long ago so i got just the mufflers. I cant wait to get them on and here the change from Flows to the packs. For the guys that have Packs i have watch tons of vids on youtube and they sound amazing but i want to know about drone? its not a big deal as my 40s drone bad with the o/r h and 4.10s. THey should be in this week and i will have them on by the weekend. Just thought i would share with everyone.

Packs sound soooo good.

I've heard the drone with them is way less than Flows. I wouldn't sweat it much.

I've been thinking about switching exhaust lately, except last night I was getting on the highway with my windows down and there happened to be a 5 foot high cement wall on my right side, sounded so sick... The drone of the MAC mufflers is starting to bug me though. I wonder if I'd like the Magnapacks more...

I do know I couldn't stand driving around for more than 30 minutes with the o/r h-pipe and the mac catback... with the catted X, the MAC sounds really good.

Well I have had both systems. Mac had lots drone, they did sound good though but not on long tripes. Switched to the packs and no drone at all.

I like the MAC's b/c they sound so deep yet raspy at WOT... how do the packs sound in comparison? If MAC's didn't drone would you still like the packs better?

Magnapacks have next to nothing for drone. It just sounds mean at 2,000rpm's. On my Mach at least, the bulk of the sound stays outside the car. When I gun it going under an overpass it sounds so much like a Nascar race car.

I hardly notice any drone with my MAC's. It's more of a deep gurgle while cruising instead of the annoying buzzz (like I had REAL BAD with my flows).

If the MACs didn't drone I would probably keep them. To me the packs sound much better then the MACs at WOT, just listen to my clip with the packs, MAC L/T headers and VRS catted X pipe 2009 :: Mustang293RWHP.flv video by scupking - Photobucket.

I think another great setup if you want to go with an O/R pipe would be a VRS O/R X pipe and the normal maganaflow mufflers. I would not put the packs with an O/R pipe.

Thanks yeah as I said she screams at WOT with the packs catted X pipe and L/T headers.

Magnaflow CB is what I have, I know its on a 5.0 and not 4.6 but I LOVE the sound as does EVERYONE else who has heard my car.

LOL VRS should be paying you some kind of royalty as much as you praise their product

lol I know but hey what can I say they make a great pipe. I had an MRT Catted H before the VRS and that also was a great pipe.
