Maier racing sub-frames

I am installing some sub-frame connectors from Maier racing and am have an interference problem with the left sub-frame. The problem I am having is the front bracket on the left sub-frame is interfering with a guide bracket for the emergency brake. I contacted Maier and there response was well you need to fix that but no help as to how. I have some ideas as to how I would like to go about this. But I thought I would ask for suggestion and thought as to how you would go about this.

file, dremel.. to cut a slot in the subframe connector or slot the bracket for the ebrake thing and then weld it all up or do a little slot on both and have them overlap...

best bet is to notch the sub frame bracket since its off the car. or you could build an ebrake bracket that bolts in with the bolt hole of the SF connector if you plan to take it off and use the bolts... just a thought.

All the above responses are the most practical....If the ebrake bracket is bolted on, i would remove it and integrate it with the subframe bolts. If it is welded, to the frame rail then I would notch the subframe......

I notched mine. I will post pics if you need me to, but a notch is a notch.

slot the subframe bracket

you'll have more welding "shoreline" and a little tab in there to give it a little extra strength fore and aft. Splitting hairs, but it seems you'll have more stuff to weld the subframe connector bracket to.

It appears we have a consensus then, I will slot it and post pictures when I’m done. The slot was my first thought but then I was wondering if I should remove the brake bracket and weld it to the sub-frame bracket. Thanks everyone for the replies / help.
