main cap bolts 15 bux each ?

Wow $150 just for 10 bolts. Could I go with ARP studs without having main journals align honed ?

at this rate it probably would have been cheaper to go with a good used motor.

From Ford ya that sounds about right. We don't sell a lot of those, don't do rebuilds at the dealer due to our high labor rate and better warranty on reman engines.

Im gonna chance it and just go with original ones. I did however purchase new rod cap bolts.

Im going to stay pretty much stock in terms of power so well see. if at some point it explodes I guess thats the chance ill take. I mean they even say to replace the side bolts as well.

if I chance it and go with originals would the torque procedure still be the same ?

See if you can find the bolt length someplace on those bolts and then check them for stretch. You could probably get away with re -using them in a pinch. They are torqued? or are they base torque then torque yield bolts like an LS Chevy? I honestly don't recall and it's been awhile.
