Your not climbing my street or my driveway without 4wd in the snowy months. Had a few parties at the house, friends actually parked at the end and walked up my street. I like having the 4wd option.

not trying to be rude and i dont know what kind of truck you have but
wouldn't it be cheaper to just trade the truck in for a older one?
my stang is cheap as crap on everything but gas , easy fix is not driving it
i mean if you cant afford a foxbody and a beater truck chances are your not gunna be able to afford a evo which your probaly gunna have to lease which mean full coverage as well

Nice cars for sure I just don't understand the logic, I pay maybe $80/month insurance for 2 vehicles 1 full coverage.

When i was a kid we lived at the bottom of a long hill and i remember me and my two older brothers sitting and bouncing up and down in the trunk of the family Grenada to get up that damn hill in the snow. It sucked but it was literally a daily thing since people had to work. We never bought snow tires or chains or anything like that...just a bag of cat liter in the trunk and maybe a few boards to lay under the tires.

If you made a list of what your cars are costing you now, and what the Evo will cost you, with the car payment and raised insurance, i'd be willing to bet it isnt much cheaper than the two cars you own now.

^ I'd bet it would still be cheaper, what kind of maintenance are we talking here? My Nissan has been nearly trouble free for the 4 years I've owned it and just cost me a good chunk of change a couple weeks ago so I started the whole "I'm done with this car, time for something new" but thankfully talked myself out of it. Car payments blow.

I have nothing against EVO's or WRX's. I think they are both great cars. What I don't believe in is modding my daily, but that is just me. I just paid off my Altima SER and don't plan on trading it anytime soon. It has been an awesome car. I like my projects though too.

I've considered selling my daily ('00 civic si) and my jeep to buy an evo. But my worry is that i'll lose interest in my fox. Lol.

Seems to me the OP just wants an EVO and is trying to justify it. Which of course is fine, his choice and all. Problem is trying to justify it to the Fox body crowd which will just try and talk him out of it (of course). The EVO will be more costly in payments/insurance, but that added cost brings less repairs (ideally) and possibly a warranty depending on how old it is.
