making a little christmas list

alright, i was asked what I wanted for christmas by my parents.

I looked online for some things, and a Tach caught my eye.

I wasn't considering a tach, until i started thinking about where I want to go with my car.

I don't race at all right now, but I plan on going down like twice a month to the local track when they open back up.

What are the benefits of an after market tach?
I have a 5 speed manual transmission and i'm looking at either the autometer, or the ford racing tach.

Aftermarket tachs are a lot more accurate than the stock one. Mine was 200 rpms off...

They are also big and ugly.....chances are unnecessary too.
