making up for 12lbs?

will adding 12 lbs to the car make a big diference. adding 12 lbs to all 4 wheels. 3 lbs to each wheel from what it has on now.
when you have 270 to 280 hp. will the difference be big and what and how much hp can i add to make up for the 12lbs added on. also, what can i replace or remove to loose 12 lbs.

i think your trying to ask if you get bigger rims and each weigh 3 pounds more than the rims you have now, will it make a big difference??

If you are worried about rotating mass it will not make much of a difference at all. Hence anyone who adds slicks and or aftermarket wheels does not think twice. If you are not serious.....well thats another post.

Not enough difference to worry with, assuming the overall height of the rear tires stays the same. If your combo is taller -- it's like taking gear out of the car -- which can be noticed if it's a big enough change.

Start moving up to 18, 19" wheels where you're adding 12-15 lbs. per corner (or more) - yes, you'll notice the difference; it eats some power trying to turn over the heavier rotational mass.
