I am looking for a wood grain type shifter knob for my 65 fastback with a manuel transmission. i tried mustangs unlimited but they dont carry them anymore. Anyone have any idea where to get one or show me pics of yours??? Thanks for the help

3 speed or 4?

My '65 had a '68 plastic wood grain looking knob with the 3 speed pattern on a white background with three blue stripes, narrow, wide, narrow, running down the middle.

Its a 4 speed. it was a brown walnut knob that had the pony symbol on the top

My dad still has his shifter knob laying around somewhere. I'll see if I can't dig it up and take a picture of it. What you described sounds a lot like what I remember.
