here is the real problem, when cold the car shifts fine, but after driving a while, i have to puch the pedal to the floor, and even then its hard to get it into gear, or change gears. its becoming a real pain. at first i figured it was the clutch cable, so i checked it out and its fine(on the outside anyways). Next thing is, there is a cable coming from the firewall to the trans (on the left of the clutch cable from the firewall, and it is leaking trans fluid by the trans, what is this cable? Any help is appreciated, especially on the shifting when hot problem, its starting to drive me nuts

The cable youre talking about is prolly the speedo, there should be an o ring on it on the inside where it bolts into the case.as far as your shifting problem lemme ask you something ,when you do get it in gear at what point in regards to the floor does the clutch engage?if its right off the floor you have a problem.do you have a firewall adjuster?
