Mine was on the right side. And it only occurred when it was cold. I had to leave it overnight and be very specific with them in order to duplicate it.
Here is what they did:
"15191 TSB 06-4-1 TSB 06-4-1B Verified concern. Secured both exhaust hangers."
Hmm. I still have this problem. I've brought it to the Ford dealer several times and even left it overnight one night but they still haven't solved it. I had them do the 06-4-1 TSB like blaise did and they tightened up several other bits underneath the car but it still rattles. Anyone have any other ideas what could be making this sort of sound? It only does it when it's cold and the RPMs are around 2k and 3k.
ford has a new tsb out for some other trans rattle when shifting. one of the techs i work with at the lexus dealer has a 07 gt 5 spd and complained about clunking when shifting and he told me they installed a new metal plate in between the trans and engine... i think i need to get mine fixed for that problem too...
also does anyone else have a problem with excessive shifter play.. seems to be in the bushing..??

i recently broke my bushing that connects the shifter to the linkage. its really sloppy now. i have not had time to look into the price if a new bushing yet or even time to see if more than just the bushing is now damaged. i probably wont get a chance to do it until next month.
