Yes there is a difference between an AOD and C4. If you have an OD, you likely have an AOD.

If you do an internet search on MVB's you will be reading for hours. :)

Good luck.

If the trans was differant from what came in the car (your thinking it might be a C4),then just look at the size/wieght.A C4 is roughly the size of a PG and wieghts about 85lbs.An AOD is much bigger.

Manual valve bodies come in rev. manual, and rev. manual w/ trans brake. You want the trans brake, that let you launch the car at the maximum rpm your converters alows.

I have a Lentech manual VB w/ brake. If you are serious about one, I would check their website and call and talk to Len about it.

Be aware, it is not for the faint of heart and probably not something anyone would want to drive everyday.

thanks alot, that is a pretty helpful sight. len really knows what he is doing. can somebody paint me a full picture, what i mean is, its an AT with manual shifting right? is it, just like tap it up and it goes into the next gear, or what? also, does anyone have pics?

thanks, Steve

What do you want pics of? Everything looks the same, even the valvebody looks similar except for a couple extra solenoids.

As far as operation -- it's completely manual. If you stick it in "2" -- you are in 2nd gear, whether stopped or driving down the road or whatever. Does that help?
