Manuel / Automatic Starter Plate Difference?

I'm converting my automatic to a 5spd. Can I reuse the automatics starter plate (metal plate inbetween motor and bellhousing) or is it different than a 5spd one??

its different. Cant remember why though.. i think the auto one is smaller.

Cause i just held it up to my 5spd bellhousing and all the holes line up...

Of course all the holes line up...if they didn't you couldn't bolt a 5 speed in place of an auto

Not the bolt spacing...

Honestly, I can't say I've ever checked...I don't even know which one I'm using in the 91...I think I'm using a manual one though.

I'm using the automatic plate on my '91 with the 5spd with no problems. There may have been a difference in the plates at the bottom for clutch inspection, but I can't say for fact as I've not seen a manual plate up close.

The only difference is the little removable plate for clutch inspection as Rustbucket said..

And I'm 100% sure of that
