went to autozone to see about a map sensor. i need one w/o vacuum line i switch over to mass air, could i just cap it off i know the 90 and 93 dont have the vacuum line auto zone said there all the same the all have the vacuum port.

Seems to me that when guys do the MAF conversion and the MAP becomes a BAP, you'd just leave the sensor uncapped (so it senses atmospheric pressure).

I did the convertion not to long ago. They say there is a difference with the two sensors, But they do look same, and both have the vacuum ports. When you purchase a 89-93 map sensor it will include a little rubber grommet to prevent a vacum line going on. When I did the switch over I went ahead and bought the new sensor it cost about 40$.

With the car running I simply switched between the old to the new sensor I could tell a difference in the idle qaulity. It seemed to idle better with the calibrated sensor.:nice:
