The map light in my '87 GT hangs down a little bit, not to mention it's unattractive and old looking. I looked through www.50resto.com for some kind of replacement or delete kit, but didn't find anything. Anyone know what kind of options exist as far as replacement goes? A newer style maplight would be all right, I guess.

YOU CAN DELETE IT BY TAKING IT OFF AND THEN GETTING A NEW HEAD LINER THAT COVERS THE HOLE

That could be a little pricey. I just saw something this one guy did where he replaced it with a '94-'98 Cobra dome light with dual map lights. That could be an option.

sounds like the clip on it could just be bent out of shape...might try fiddling with that.

I say try to flip it around and use it as a shift light sounds like it would be cool...

or just use some adhesive velcro to keep it up...ghetto, but it would work...

...and paint it

lol, yeah maybe I'll try fiddling with that. Or I can get one that works on eBay.
