Hi guys, I have the March 'Style Track' serpentine kit (part 30420).

The crank pulley (part 2281) has four holes but my damper has 3 holes.

Can anyone shed any light.

Could it be a GM Damper? I don't know if they fit.

Could it be an FE Damper?

It's defiantly aftermarket but can't track down the engine builder.

Any help appreciated so I can start tracking down the right pulley.

64-69 Mustang (and Ford) pulleys used a system with 3 bolt crank pulleys. In 1970, Ford totally changed the entire system, even using a different offset scheme. Only the little alternator pulleys stayed the same, but the alternators required different brackets to line up with the new system, which, incidentally, had a 4-bolt crank pulleys.

You obviously have a 69 351 damper. If you have a 69 car, this is fine, and you have the wrong March pulleys.

Thanks Buddy

Very good information. Well it would seem I have the '69 block, crank and dampener.

Now the next question if you don't mind.

Does the Dampener on the pre '69 sit out further that on the later model?

I ask this as I could simply mill a spacer from billet alloy to bring it back inline with the other pulleys.

I'm not sure if this would work with the rest of your accesory setup, but on my 69 351w I'm running a 94 351w balancer, late model Mustang/truck timing cover and water pump, original replacement alternator with a serp. pully, with 5.0 Mustang underdrives. Everything works great together on my particular combo.

Maybe that will give you some clues to interchangeability that might help you.
