I've owned MANY fox bodies and this is my first venture into the gen 1 stang. I am very happy so far, but I have a question regarding the Mark VIII fan; I used it in a few fox bodies w/stroker motors w/much compression producing a lot of heat. They work great to keep the car very cool in the AZ heat. Question is why don't I see anyone in the gen 1 using the fan? I've done search's on the board and see ppl talking about it, but nobody actually using one.
I have a stroked 351 going into the 65, I am cutting some of the fan area out for more 'exposure' and going w/a Ron Davis, slightly larger than stock, radiator. I want to run a Mark VIII fan, due to its ability to suck in air at an amazing rate. Anyone use one? If so how much fabrication? FYI I am asking as this is a couple of months down the road, but not better time then the present to plan
