Mass Air and Throttle Body Sizing

Im building a 306 with a set of gt40p heads and an e-cam. my question is about the size of the mass air and the throttle body...i have a bbk 65mm throttle body right now on my stock engine...will this work on the gt40p/306 combo? and i also currently have a vortech 73 mm mass air..will that work also? thanks

They will flow plenty for that combo. You're good to go

Yes it will work!! Down the road if you have the money a 70mm TB and 80mm MAF will work a little better. But what you have now will definitly work!

who ever said that you should get 80mm mass air is wrong. if you are going with a N/A setup then that would be way too big you would be loosing velocity and slowing yourself down the 73mm is perfect.

x2, you dont need anywhere close to 80mm mass air on a VERY MILD cam and head 306.
