I just got done overhauling my engine and i grabbed some 24 lb injectors froma cobra motor and im currently still running my stock mass air flow sensor. I know its calibrated for 19 lb injectors, but would my car feel slower cause of that and when i put a bigger mass air meter on there and its for 24 lb injectors, do you think i will feel a power increase?

well if you dont upgrade it is gonna give you fuel problems so you have to calibrate it. but ya if you calibrate it for 24lbs you should feel a difference.

yes you will run slower with drivabilty promblems as well as bad gas milage, you can not put a bigger mass air on stock injectors unless you upgrade and have that mass air calibrated for that size injector

Jnstang89,

The injector size is calibrated in the EEC. The "right" way to change the injector calibration is to change it in the EEC via a chip.

That being said, the aftermarket MAFs can be 'calibrated' to allow the car to run well with different sized injectors. Pick up an aftermarket MAF calibrated for the 24 pounders and you will be much happier. The car will run PIG RICH with 24lb injectors and a 19lb injector calibration.

Here is some excellent reading on the subject:

Good luck,
