Gentlemen, heres the deal. Yes I did a search and only got more corn-fused.
I have a 79 car. I upgraded all of my brakes to the stocker 87-93 v-8 stuff. Just bought the master cylinder and the flippin thing has 3 ports. My factory unit had 2. I have the 87-93 proportioning valve, and the old one. Both look the same. WHAT DO I DO WITH THE EXTRA PORT? Where did it go on the 87-93 car? help

Anyone got an 87-93 car with brakes? Where does the bottom line go?

yeah and it only works on the 87-93 cars

Bottom line, you dont use the 87-93 GT/LX master cylinders.

For the 79-86 cars, use the 1" towncar from a 85 model year. adapt as needed

just use the 79 MC or the SVO MC keep the stock PV. The 79 to 86 MC is the best choice for the stock size calipers only use the SVO MC if you are using the 73mm calipers.

i dont see why a 3 port wouldnt work... 2 for up front, and 1 for the rear...

then again mine is a single with a proportioning block/valve thingy... heh.

I just worked on a Thunderbird with a 3 port master cylinder. The port that skips the proportioning valve goes to the drivers side front brake.
