Are there any other steering gear boxes that will interchange with a 69 stang.? I remember the maverick I pulled the spindles for front disc brakes.Looked the same.75 mustang II

Got the new suspension kit from CJ pony. Was trying to adjust my steering box, real sloppy. If I keep going on the front end can the steering box be removed once the 351 is installed? Its in a 69 stang.

The steering box can be removed with a 351W installed, but if you are running the stock manifolfds you will have to move the driver's side one out of the way.

A Granada or Maverick box MAY work but I'm not 100% sure of that.

Best thing to do IMO is to get the Borgeson gearbox. Mine works great.

yeloxr7 thanks,Checked out the link to Borgeson.Better price than some Ive looked at.Before I order Ill check the maverick a little closer ,for slop in the steering box.It was hit hard in the back and has under 60,000 miles on it.Its worth a shot.I noticed it had the same power assist as the 69. 75 mustang II

The Maverick steering box is heavier duty than the Mustang box and also the components inside are larger. Unfortunately, this also means that the housing is larger and the bolt pattern is different, so it doesn't bolt into an early Mustang.
