Maximum Plug Gap

i know that most people are going to say just gap the plugs at factory spec BUT what is the biggest gap that people are running on basic bolt on 2v cars... im almost positve that w/ COP theres enough energy to arc a bigger gap... even my fiero, which had a stock gap of like .042 run just fine and actually pulled harder du to teh larger flame kernal at .055... do you think i can get away w/ a gap taht big on the 2v?
