I am thinking of selling my 05 GT and getting an 06 Roush version. Just wondering what any fellow Roush owners think of their cars. Any problems or trouble that I should be aware of. Thanks for the input. Alan

I have a better idea.. Just buy the Roush kit, and keep your 05GT..

This is scary really.. Would you really do this?

Dont do it! I thought the Roushes looked good prior to buying my ride and signing up on the various Mustang boards and seeing what members have done to their rides. Now, they look average at best. Overpriced plastic IMO.

A little harsh, but will all have our own opinions. I could not turn it down, I work for a Dealership and my Dplan on one was $29961 + ttl.

As far as the question goes, I don't have any problems with the car at all. The only thing that does worry me is the thought of lowering it, and if I do it the front clip will be very vulnerable.

Thats a great deal

Is that a stage 1 or 2? The only reason I'm asking is because I thought they came with the upgraded rims

I don't own a Roush, so I can't really give you any valuable info on them, but I do know they are sharp looking. If I felt like spending the extra money, I would have bought one in a heartbeat instead of my coupe. Actually I am still thinking of buying the Roush window louvers for my car eventually.

Sport is correct. Stage one is basically the same but with 18" wheels, Stage two gets into the suspension.

I agree why not just buy a body kit and save ALLOT of MONEY....I plan to use body mods from several different kits to personalize my ride ...as others have done....I like allot of the Stage 1 kit...it was the test vehicle I drove when I decided to buy my car.....salesman said....hey buy a car and save $10 grand ...by getting the kit....true...IMO....love that Redfire ....

in the same boat....

I have been shopping for a Mustang for my wife's 40th B-day and found an 05 Roush that they called a Stage 1. The car was a GT Convertible Deluxe with the stock 17" painted rims. The sticker was 40K and the dealer told me I could have it for 35K. The car had the Roush CF dash kit, signature gauges, convertible light bar (which was ripped), front & rear fashia, high performance exhaust, hood scoop, rear spoiler, and chin spoiler.

Are these items really worth the extra money? I know the dealers are building in a profit margin cause the Roush window sticker lists the window decals as around $300 when they actually cost about $35. My other concern was the fact that all of the Roush cars on this dealers lot, and there are 4 of them, are all 05's. I don't want to buy an 05 this late in the year for full retail cost. What do you think would be a fair price for this car?

Thanks,

Steve

No they arent worth the extra cash in my opinion way too overpriced, wouldnt buy it for 35k, not even 30k....not worth it in my honest opinion, buy a gt and use all that extra money for a better bodykit, wheels, engine mods, suspension etc.....i like to do my own mods and make a car suitable to my tastes, not what someone else thinks looks good...
