Mazda speed 6

Hey guys, I have a buddy that just bought a new Mazda speed 6, it's a pretty nice car and feels pretty fast, he wants to race me. I think I'll win, but I'm not sure. I have a 01 GT, with flows, mac catted pro chamber, k&N filter and a mgw short shifter. How do you guys think I'll do?

From what I can tell, they should be fairly quick...considering. Just stay on point and I think you would do ok. Just don't expect to own him.

I saw somes at the track and they run anything beetween 13.8 and 14.5 @ 97-100 mph. Since the AWD makes launches easier, you'll need awesome traction to keep up with your friend.

On highway, I think you'll win.

Those cars are awesome man, it will be close but I would give a slight edge to him.

Just dont decide to go onto a curvy road or you will get killed.

Make sure he doesn't up the boost on his turbo too, otherwise you're toast.

I didn't know they were AWD but I guess they are. My Mazda 6 (not Speed 6) is a front wheel drive.

I wish I had bought the Speed 6 but I was only looking for good gas mileage and nothing more.

His car is completly stock and honestly I think I'm a better driver then he is. I ran a 14.0 before I did the prochamber. I guess theres only one way to know for sure, right? I'll let you guys know how it goes.

i love the AWD and turbo in that car. i drove one before and it is awesome. i would definitely buy it as a 2nd car for family and fun.

Well we went to the track and I won. He got a half car lead on me off the line by the top of first it was even and 2nd and third I pulled away. He end up being on my rear bumper at the end of the quarter.

I ran a 15.1 at 4000+ above sea level. Thats high 13's at sea level right? I can't remember what he ran, I think his best was like a 15.4 or something like that.
